Hey, I’m an educated scientist…numbers matter.

So I’ve pulled a few numbers from the American Writers & Artists Institute “State of the Industry” Annual Report. For context, they’ve been in the copywriting training business since 1997, arguably THE first assimilated copywriting education agency.

To get us started, I’ll begin with a quick summary: Copywriting is more valuable than ever for garnering traction for your business.

Now, the numbers.

Per a report in Ahrefs, “66 Content Marketing Statistics for 2022,”

60% of marketers report that content marketing generates demands/leads.

Content marketing generates 3x more leads, while costing 62% less.

Meaning? “Unique, audience-focused, and engaging communication (aka copywriting)” is the key to success for businesses in a digitally-dominated environment.

So, let’s talk about this digitally-dominated environment.

Average time in the U.S. spent engaging with digital media is trending close to 8 hours per day in 2022.

…and more than HALF of annual online web traffic is sourced on mobile devices and tablets.

Just think about how much time you spend in a day, focusing on a screen. Maybe you, like me, actually rely on screens to make a living. The same is true for many of us- if you’re consuming digital media, so is everyone else.
